Dresses for the Holiday Season

Hello everyone!
I know what you're probably thinking by the title "Isn't it a little early to start planning holiday party outfits?"
The answer is yes, but I'm a person who likes a head start, so I thought I would share with you.
Here we go!

This first dress is a new buy. It is a circle dress, with purple and brown spots on it. The dress also has long-sleeves. I really like this dress with light brown fake cowboy boots. This dress is from H&M.

This second dress has appeared on my blog before. This is a three-quarter black dress with leather trimmings. This dress I purchased at Belk.

The last dress is a navy blue sleeveless dress. I like to wear a mustard yellow sweater when I wear this one. It complements the dress very well. I also purchased this one at Belk, which I purchased a while a go, so I can no longer find it.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this and looking at my holiday dresses,
Bye!

OOTD - Layering Edition

Hello everyone!
Today's post is going to be a layering OOTD. It's getting pretty cold where I live. It didn't even make it to 60F today! Since its getting cold I thought I would do a layering OOTD.

I'm wearing a simple army green and gold sleeved jacket from Wet Seal. My scarf is a brown and white infinity one and I'm not sure where it's from. My black shirt is from Eddie Bauer. My jeans are my favourite Levi's. Lastly my brown combat boots are from Rampage.

Thanks for reading today's post,
Bye!

Where I've Been

Hello everyone!
Sorry to have disappeared on you all last week. I had a pretty stressful week. I don't want to go into too much detail because it's too personal. All I'm going to say about it is, doing cross country and having a hard biology class I didn't have any free time and I needed a break. Today is my last cross country meet for the season, so next week I will be back on track.

Since this post is pretty short I thought I'd tell you about what good has been happening in my life.

First off, I was initiated into National Honors Society. You get inducted for a having a weighted GPA of 3.75 or higher. Being in Nation Honors Society, I have to do 25+ hours of community service. Since I have to do community service I joined my school's Leo Club, which is a community service based club.

Above are the pictures from the event. The top one is me lighting my candle before we were formally inducted. The bottom one is me before the event in my dress. My dress has leather trim on it. It was from Belk. My red flats were from Wet Seal.

On Monday our spirit weeks started. We have two spirit weeks at my school. One for the big rivalry game, and one for homecoming. This week is for the big rivalry game. On Monday we had pajama day. For pajama day me and my friend wore onsies. I was a monster and she was a penguin.

My onesie was from Walmart and I am not sure where her's is from.

If you want to see what I'm up to when I'm not uploading on here, just follow my instagram (lifeattemptbykelsie) or my twitter(kelsiehere). If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see on here, just comment your ideas!

Thanks for reading,
Bye!

Study Tips

Hello everyone!
Today's post is going to be on study tips. Now if you're like me and get bored studying or just don't like it I hope these help.

How and What I Study With
When preparing for a test my classes hand out study guides. My history teacher gives us a study guide at the beginning of each unit. I highly recommend using the study guides you're given to study.
Another thing I study with is the app quizlet. This app is really useful especially when trying to memorize vocab words.
Also to study I highlight notes I take in class, and review those.

Where I Study
I personally study in my room with music on. I recommend listening to acoustics, covers, and movie scores.
If you don't like to study in your room, you could always go to a local coffee shop, library, or book store.

How I Study in Class
If a teacher tells you something is important I recommend highlighting it, or putting a star next to it( I do both).
I also recommend writing down the random/trivial stuff your teacher says. You might see a question on it on a test.

Other Tips
Put your phone on night mode when studying, so you won't get distracted when you get a tweet notification or text.
Write your notes in different colors.
Go in and highlight your notes on what YOU need to know.
Rewrite your notes, or just the things you highlighted.
Study 15+ minutes every night per class.

Those are all the tips I have for you. Thanks for reading.

Fall Outfit Ideas

Hello everyone!
Today's post is going to be about Fall outfit ideas. I felt like this would be a good time to talk about Fall outfits, since Fall started last Monday. Here we go!

This first outfit is a simple layering one. In this I am wearing a red flannel from JCPenney under a cream colored sweater with a raccoon on it from Kohl's(not available anymore). The jeans I am wearing are my all time favourite Levi's. Lastly my boots are just heeled Unlisted(not available anymore) ones.

This outfit is a simple tee and jeans. The shirt is a blue and whit baseball tee that reads We Are Young from American Eagle(link is for similar, not exact). The jeans are destroyed Hollister ones. And my shoes are black high-top Converses.

These were both simple fall outfits I thought I could share with you. Thanks for reading.
Bye!

Easy Everyday Makeup

Hello everyone!
Today's post is going to be about my easy everyday makeup routine. Most of these products are from the drugstore, so it is also a less expensive look to do.
Here we go:

These will be the products I use on my face for this look. I like to keep everyday makeup looks simple enough so I don't have to use too many brushes.

The concealer I used today is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 15.

I put the concealer on blemishes and under my eyes.

I blend the concealer in with my fingers. I prefer to use my fingers to blend it in because I feel like it doesn't cake up as much.

The foundation I used for this look was my Almay Clear Complexion one. This foundation is supposed to help heal breakouts.

Again I'm just using my hands to blend this in.

The next product I'm using is my Rimmel Stay Matte powder.

For this product I do recommend using a brush. I don't think it would be very easy to apply powder with hands.

The brush I'm using is a BareMinerals face brush.

Next up is mascara. This is the Maybelline Pumped Up! waterproof one in black.

Then lastly I apply a lip product. The one I use in this look was the NYX butter gloss in Éclair.

I personally like all the butter glosses, but this is the one I chose for today.

This is the final look!

What I Wore for Picture Day

Hello everyone!
Today's post is about what I wore for picture day. I had picture day yesterday, and I know you can only see from bust up, but I still wanted my whole outfit to be on point.
This is what I wore.

The top is a graphic striped sweater from a brand called Crown and Ivory.
The jeans are my black Levi skinny jeans.
And my shoes were red flats from Wet Seal.

I personally love this outfit. It was very comfortable, and the top made a great picture day shirt.

That is all for this blog post. Thanks for reading!
