Back to School Organization

Hello everyone!
Today's post is going to be about back to school organization. Theses are ways that I stay organized and keep all my work organized.

This is a look at what my organization looks like. Everything is on my bed because that is where I study and do homework. I have a different binder for all of my classes. I also have tab dividers in all of my binders.

I'm going to start with how I keep my agenda organized. I highlight what lunch I will have to go to that day in pink or orange. If I'm going to an 'A' lunch then I highlight in orange. If I have to go to a 'B' lunch then I highlight it in pink. If I have something that has to get done that day then I highlight in yellow. I also box in thing that I have to do. My agenda is probably my most used back to school item because I put in homework assignments, test dates, blog uploads, when I need to take pictures and type posts, and when I need to do what chore.

Next up I'm going to talk about the way I organize my binders. My school is on the block schedule meaning we have four classes per semester and each semester is broke into three 6-week grading periods. For my classes I keep four tab dividers in each, and organize from oldest to newest per six weeks. Also for my binders I don't like to keep things in the side pockets unless its necessary. My history class (which is the binder shown above) my teacher gives us unit separators. This helps make it easier to find things that will be on the study guide. A quick way to keep it all in order is to put the date on all of the things you do in class.

Next up I'm going to talk about pencils. I lose all my pencils so fast no matter how many I start the year off with. A way that I feel like will help and keep all of them in one place will be by keeping a pencil pouch. I love having a pencil pouch because you can put pens, pencils, highlighters, pencil sharpeners, and colored pencils all in there! My pencil pouch is from Vera Bradley and its just a cosmetic case by her.

Some tips to be organized would be:
  • keeping a different binder per class
  • using highlighters (they're not just good for studying)
  • keeping an agenda and numbering things by priority
  • putting sticky notes on the front of that classes binder/notebook letting you know when a test or quiz is (see above)
  • and keeping an organized and clean room
Keeping your room clean and organized might seem random, but it helps. When you have a clean room, you won't believe how much more organized you will feel.

Thank you for reading this unusually long post, I hope you enjoyed!
Bye!
