Hello everyone!
Today's post is going to be on study tips. Now if you're like me and get bored studying or just don't like it I hope these help.
How and What I Study With
When preparing for a test my classes hand out study guides. My history teacher gives us a study guide at the beginning of each unit. I highly recommend using the study guides you're given to study.
Another thing I study with is the app quizlet. This app is really useful especially when trying to memorize vocab words.
Also to study I highlight notes I take in class, and review those.
Where I Study
I personally study in my room with music on. I recommend listening to acoustics, covers, and movie scores.
If you don't like to study in your room, you could always go to a local coffee shop, library, or book store.
How I Study in Class
If a teacher tells you something is important I recommend highlighting it, or putting a star next to it( I do both).
I also recommend writing down the random/trivial stuff your teacher says. You might see a question on it on a test.
Other Tips
Put your phone on night mode when studying, so you won't get distracted when you get a tweet notification or text.
Write your notes in different colors.
Go in and highlight your notes on what YOU need to know.
Rewrite your notes, or just the things you highlighted.
Study 15+ minutes every night per class.
Those are all the tips I have for you. Thanks for reading.

Fall Outfit Ideas
Hello everyone!
Today's post is going to be about Fall outfit ideas. I felt like this would be a good time to talk about Fall outfits, since Fall started last Monday. Here we go!
Today's post is going to be about Fall outfit ideas. I felt like this would be a good time to talk about Fall outfits, since Fall started last Monday. Here we go!
This first outfit is a simple layering one. In this I am wearing a red flannel from JCPenney under a cream colored sweater with a raccoon on it from Kohl's(not available anymore). The jeans I am wearing are my all time favourite Levi's. Lastly my boots are just heeled Unlisted(not available anymore) ones.
This outfit is a simple tee and jeans. The shirt is a blue and whit baseball tee that reads We Are Young from American Eagle(link is for similar, not exact). The jeans are destroyed Hollister ones. And my shoes are black high-top Converses.
These were both simple fall outfits I thought I could share with you. Thanks for reading.

Easy Everyday Makeup
Hello everyone!
Today's post is going to be about my easy everyday makeup routine. Most of these products are from the drugstore, so it is also a less expensive look to do.
Here we go:
Today's post is going to be about my easy everyday makeup routine. Most of these products are from the drugstore, so it is also a less expensive look to do.
Here we go:
These will be the products I use on my face for this look. I like to keep everyday makeup looks simple enough so I don't have to use too many brushes.
The concealer I used today is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 15.
I put the concealer on blemishes and under my eyes.
I blend the concealer in with my fingers. I prefer to use my fingers to blend it in because I feel like it doesn't cake up as much.
The foundation I used for this look was my Almay Clear Complexion one. This foundation is supposed to help heal breakouts.
Again I'm just using my hands to blend this in.
The next product I'm using is my Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
For this product I do recommend using a brush. I don't think it would be very easy to apply powder with hands.
The brush I'm using is a BareMinerals face brush.
Next up is mascara. This is the Maybelline Pumped Up! waterproof one in black.
Then lastly I apply a lip product. The one I use in this look was the NYX butter gloss in Éclair.
I personally like all the butter glosses, but this is the one I chose for today.
This is the final look!

What I Wore for Picture Day
Hello everyone!
Today's post is about what I wore for picture day. I had picture day yesterday, and I know you can only see from bust up, but I still wanted my whole outfit to be on point.
This is what I wore.

This is what I wore.
The top is a graphic striped sweater from a brand called Crown and Ivory.
The jeans are my black Levi skinny jeans.
And my shoes were red flats from Wet Seal.
I personally love this outfit. It was very comfortable, and the top made a great picture day shirt.
That is all for this blog post. Thanks for reading!

Cross Country Workouts
Hello everyone!
Today's post is about my cross county workouts. Now I don't have all the days workouts, but I have about half the week.
Now before we do any of our main things we do a warm up lap around the track which is 0.25 miles or a 400m jog. After we do that we do independent stretching for about 10 minutes, then we do dynamic stretching for however long the coaches feel like.
Mondays - most Mondays we usually do a time run. The time run we did this week was a 30 minute fartlek with 10 sprints. I personally did 3.5ish miles doing this.
Tuesdays - this is pre-meet day. So instead of doing a main workout we still did our regular warm up. Instead of just doing dynamic stretching until our coaches tell us to stop, we do a lap (400m) of dynamic stretching around the track. Then we did a mile long light jog in the grass in the middle of the track.
Wednesday - meet day! This week (as writing I have just finished this race) we had a flat meet in the gravel. I ran a 28:50 5k (high school meets are 5ks). I have dropped 8mins since the start of the season.
Thursday & Friday - I currently cannot tell you what these workouts since these days have not occurred yet. I will post the workouts on instagram (lifeattemptbykelsie) when I find out.
So those are my cross country workouts Monday - Wednesday. If you want to find out more about these workouts I will make a more in depth 4-part post about it.
Thanks for reading!

Back to School Organization
Hello everyone!
Today's post is going to be about back to school organization. Theses are ways that I stay organized and keep all my work organized.
This is a look at what my organization looks like. Everything is on my bed because that is where I study and do homework. I have a different binder for all of my classes. I also have tab dividers in all of my binders.
I'm going to start with how I keep my agenda organized. I highlight what lunch I will have to go to that day in pink or orange. If I'm going to an 'A' lunch then I highlight in orange. If I have to go to a 'B' lunch then I highlight it in pink. If I have something that has to get done that day then I highlight in yellow. I also box in thing that I have to do. My agenda is probably my most used back to school item because I put in homework assignments, test dates, blog uploads, when I need to take pictures and type posts, and when I need to do what chore.
Next up I'm going to talk about the way I organize my binders. My school is on the block schedule meaning we have four classes per semester and each semester is broke into three 6-week grading periods. For my classes I keep four tab dividers in each, and organize from oldest to newest per six weeks. Also for my binders I don't like to keep things in the side pockets unless its necessary. My history class (which is the binder shown above) my teacher gives us unit separators. This helps make it easier to find things that will be on the study guide. A quick way to keep it all in order is to put the date on all of the things you do in class.
Next up I'm going to talk about pencils. I lose all my pencils so fast no matter how many I start the year off with. A way that I feel like will help and keep all of them in one place will be by keeping a pencil pouch. I love having a pencil pouch because you can put pens, pencils, highlighters, pencil sharpeners, and colored pencils all in there! My pencil pouch is from Vera Bradley and its just a cosmetic case by her.
Some tips to be organized would be:

Some tips to be organized would be:
- keeping a different binder per class
- using highlighters (they're not just good for studying)
- keeping an agenda and numbering things by priority
- putting sticky notes on the front of that classes binder/notebook letting you know when a test or quiz is (see above)
- and keeping an organized and clean room

Origins Super Spot Remover
Hello everyone!
For today's post I'm going to review Origins Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel.
Now I have struggled with acne for a couple of years now, and I have tried multiple spot treatments. I was getting ready to give up and go back to the dermatologist to get Epiduo when my mom came across this while shopping at the mall. When she brought it home I thought well lets give this a chance. Looking back I'm glad I did. After about two weeks of using this I could notice a difference in my skin. This spot treatment also didn't dry my skin out really badly like other spot treatments I have used.
I use this product every night under my moisturizer. I would recommend using this product at night since it is a little thick. I would also recommend applying this with your fingers.
I hope you enjoyed my first review.
